The Dark Knight

On my 20th birthday(17 July), a movie that had taken the world by a storm had been launched. And the fact that it was released on my birthday might well contributed to the box-office status the film enjoys right now.. ; ] The movie is proggressing well in term of ticket sales(crossing the $300 million mark in just 10 days) and some reporters even said it could surpassed Titanic as the biggest film in term of profit. And it's not just that, fellas. The movie really caught my attention and my RM12 ticket I spent at GSC Pavillion was bloody worth it. My first impression was that..wah!Batman is not as comical as in previous films anymore!Sorry, I didn't watched Batman Begins, but having watched the previous franchise(Forever,Returns,Batman n Robin) which can easily drop the jaw of an 8 years old kid, Dark Knight is totally not a child's play and could change the critics' perception of superheroes film.Dark Knight is darker yet we feel he really lives among us, due to the 'more-to-reality' approach upon Gotham City..(unlike the one in the old franchise which was really uh..comical!)The storyline is good but not great, and the performance of the actors really cover up the former..a brilliant if not the best performance by the late Heath Ledger as Joker..the movie revolves around this cunning yet ruthless character. One word to him-awesome.Batman continues to fight crime in Gotham and now he faces a physchopath criminal by the name of Joker.Joker is really something..he does all that just to make sure Gotham in chaos, with his superb thinking.I for one think that Batman is not a winner at the end of the movie. Joker really stands out.Even he is killed(?) in the end, he still managed to make Batman runs away as fugitive, and celebrated hero D.A Harvey Dent get killed. So fellas..which side are you?
